Through the Eyes of Art, a Black History Month Celebration F

Time & Location: February 18 at 7 p.m. at the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)

Through the Eyes of Art is proud to honor Steve Sneed with this years “Servant of the People Award.”


As an artistic manager at places like Langston Hughes and the Seattle Center, Steve has been a visionary and a gate keeper serving the Northwest’s artistic community for over 40 years. Join us as we honor this amazing Seattle legend.

Join us as The Chosen Few and MoPOP present the 10th annual Through the Eyes of Art, a Black History Month celebration.


Gather with artists, community leaders, and tastemakers from across Washington State as we honor and revel in the Black experience through hair, clothing, music, and dance.

Celebrity Chef Q&A with Jet Tila - Visiting ATS South Lake

Join us for a presentation and a Q&A session with Chef Jet Tila 

When: Thursday February 16th.@ 3-3:45 p.m. 

Where: Alan T. Sugiyama High School at South Lake

Jet Tila is a chef, culinary anthropologist, entrepreneur, and Food Network star. Jet has roots deeply embedded in the industry and ones that significantly establish him firmly in the artform he is most passionate about: storytelling through food. 


From Iron Chef America to Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain, Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, Beat Bobby Flay, Guy’s Grocery Games, and the Today Show Jet is internationally recognized. He is also the host of Ready Jet Cook on FoodNetwork.com.

Alan T. Sugiyama (ATS) High School does education to its own beat. The school was named after a prominent figure from Seattle's Central District. It sits on the corner of Rainier Avenue and South Cloverdale Street.
